IBM partners with NATO to strengthen cybersecurity
Strengthening cyber resilience: IBM's innovative management service for NATO
NATO has signed a contract with IBM to improve its cybersecurity services. IBM will create a unified system that will allow you to manage information on vulnerabilities and patches, increasing visibility into any risks. This service aims to maintain, update and protect IT assets from the growing cyber threat.
NATO's communications and information agency (NCI Agency) announced the signing of a contract with IBM for the integration of advanced cybersecurity services. Starting in January 2024, IBM Consulting's security consultancy services will be engaged in the creation of an asset, patch and vulnerability (ACPV) configuration management service, customized for NATO needs.
Improved Alliance security
The IBM-designed solution provides a unified system that will provide an integrated view of Alliance security. Through data analysis and asset identification, IBM Consulting will allow you to access and manage information relating to vulnerabilities and patches in an agile way, thus increasing visibility in the face of cyber risks.
Innovation in acquisition for cyber defense
The innovative and competitive acquisition process implemented by NATO has identified IBM as the ideal partner thanks to its global experience in the security of complex infrastructures. General Ludwig Decamps, Manager of the NCI Agency, underlined the importance of synergy with industry for a joint strengthening of cyber resilience and a rapid response to cyber threats.
IBM's contribution to strengthening NATO security
In the context of today's growing global geopolitical tensions, NATO's security readiness is more important than ever. “In response to growing global geopolitical tensions, it is critical to ensure appropriate maintenance, regular updates and effective security of IT assets to defend against increases in cyber threats,” said Mohamad Ali, COO of IBM Consulting. The service not only implements existing solutions, but also creates an integrated enterprise framework to support other functional domains, such as IT service management, finance and audit departments.
