According to user reports online, the Exchange Online issues began this morning, impacting Microsoft 365 customers around the world in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Cause of inconveniences

In a subsequent update, Redmond announced that the cause of the problems may be related to the incorrect application of IP address anti-spam rules for affected customers. Some users have reported seeing thousands of emails added to their outbound queue due to Exchange Online's spam filtering.
